Hi, I’m Becky!
I create meaningful images with community-rooted businesses
I came back from maternity leave in June 2024 after having my beautiful daughter, with an open mind about what I was going to do and thoroughly enjoyed exploring what I want my work to look like now my priorities had shifted.
Time to Be Photography developed super organically as I got out and about, met people and saw where the demand for my skills was. I started taking photos for businesses and absolutely loved it, and I haven't looked back since! Since then, I have led workshops to help teach businesses how to take photos themselves, and I am now starting to deliver mindful photography workshops for them too. 🙂 It's happened slowly and it's been so fun seeing how things keep changing.
All of the businesses I work with are so embedded in their communities and I love working with them to tell their story. In Norfolk there are lots of vibrant communities and pockets of small businesses, so even as a sole-trader I feel so supported and surrounded by other businesses who all seem so open to collaborating and helping each other out.
My path has been varied. I’ve been a participant, artist, freelancer, facilitator, filmmaker, photographer, counsellor, coach, and employee, and each role has given me skills and experiences I now bring together in my work.
Fun Facts
I can never leave the library with just one book.
As a kid I dreamed of being an actor and even appeared in a few short films. It sparked my love for storytelling and creativity.
I once cycled around the perimeter of Norfolk for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, camping in gardens along the way and meeting the kindest people.
How I Work
I start by listening. Every person and business has a different story, and I want to understand what matters most to you before I begin. Together, we decide what kind of support feels right for you and your brand.
I believe creativity should be accessible, not overwhelming, so will create bespoke plans at the right level for you and your organisation.
I am what I call a ‘vibes’ photographer. I work really intuitively. For me, I love, helping folks to feel at ease so that they can show up in their photos the way they do in ‘real life.’
I do this by combining my skills as a photographer and facilitator with my training as a counsellor and coach. (so fun to bring it all together!)
I love beautiful light. I love telling stories.
I love the way photography has encouraged me to look around more to capture something interesting or beautiful, as the more you look, the more interesting and beautiful everything becomes.
