“Norwich Baroque was founded in 2006 by a group of friends with a passion for early music and forgotten local gems. Under the quiet yet visionary leadership of the late Jane Slocombe, the group gradually built relationships with some of the brightest stars in the field, beginning with the patronage of Michael Chance.

They are now a professional ensemble with strong ties both to the region and to other artists on the national and international early music scene, under the artistic direction of cellist and gambist Kate Bennett Wadsworth.”

I have been lucky enough to work with Norwich Baroque before. Their music is so amazing, I absolutely love to be surrounded by the baroque sound and this concert in particular, which took place at the Assembly House in Norwich was so good! It was called “Elemental: Music Forces of Nature” and everything from the concept of the concert to the music itself was so wonderful. I was laughing at one point and moved the next. Seriously look them up if you haven’t been and give it a go, especially if you haven’t hear Baroque music yet because during their concerts you get to learn so much about the form.
