Outreach workshops with St Barnabas Counselling Centre & English+

I was delighted to be asked to co-facilitate a workshop with St Barnabas Counselling Centre and English+ as part of their proactive outreach to raise awareness about mental health and how counselling can help.

The sessions were designed by St Barnabas Counselling Centre for Mothers from migrant backgrounds with English as their second or third language. I then had the opportunity to add my thoughts and input to the plans.

The two sessions were an invitation to explore mental health and what it means to us and to share tools and ideas for grounding ourselves.

It was a great opportunity to combine my recent counselling training with my years of workshop facilitator experience. I did my placement as part of my training with St Barnabas Counselling Centre, so it was lovely to reconnect with them now I have returned from my maternity leave.
